The seven sorrows suffered by Our Blessed Mother because she was the mother of Christ.
They are:
II. The flight into Egypt
III. The three day loss of Jesus
IV. The meeting with Christ on the way to Calvary
V. The descent of the Body of Christ from the Cross
VI.The Blessed Mother standing at the foot of the cross
VII.The burial of Jesus Christ
"Swords of sorrows shall pierce your loving heart."
Each sinner sees the plight of your flight, sighs,
And hails you, "Come to us...never depart!"
Grieving Mother who worries where her Son
Has gone in God's plan, scans the caravan.
She gazes...mornings of mournings have spun
Good Friday...saddest day...Sin's sway began
To twist the Truth, "The Way", on rugged Cross.
His wrists and feet held fast, you stood there staunch.
Then, Jesus Christ's Body's one final toss
To His Earth after plunging lance's launch.
Mournful Mother to her Son's tomb does plod.
God's Son is sown in the sod He once trod.
